2009 Undergraduate BFA Show
This 17 piece series was shown in part (10 pcs.) at my undergraduate art show from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Spring 2009. The initial exploration into this particular avenue of geometric patterning began in 2007; the actual series began in 2008.
2007 Drawings
This year, my focus reached almost singularly toward using pattern and color through series. I used traditional mathematical patterns as well as derivative patterns.
2007 Paintings
I deviated from my true passion only slightly with a disappointing survey of figure painting.
2006 Sketchbook
Throughout this year, my obsession with pattern blossomed exponentially to the point that even projects that were representational in subject became patterned in some aspect.
2006 Mixed Media/3D
This year, I rekindled my adolescent love of crafts with a fibers course.
2006 Drawings
Largely though, through various series of drawings and paintings, I explored ideas including shadows, symbology, mathematics, and color optics.

Fall 2005 Sketchbook
At this time, my focus turned towards the exploration of fractal patterns with a quick foray into nude self-portraiture. This sketchbook also served as a diary into which I recorded a handful of odd dreams I had around that time.
Summer 2005 Sketchbook
During this short summer, I worked as a nanny on my break from school. Most of the drawings in this sketchbooks began as simple doodles that grew into complicated patterns almost compulsively.
Spring 2005 Sketchbook
In my second semester in college, I began to explore pattern and the human figure. This sketchbook also contains notes and thumbnail sketches for at least three larger projects
2005 Drawings
This year was my big year for experimentation in artistic media. Though never stepping completely away from drawing and painting, I took classes in sculpture, photography, and performance. In all aspects of creation at that time, my affinity for pattern and color was becoming increasingly more apparent.

Fall 2004 Sketchbook
This sketchbook is from my first semester in college at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It includes sharpie sketches of various subjects as well as notes from a larger project. It even has a drawing by classmate and fellow artist Chris Gallegos: www.chrisgallegos.com
2000-2004 Paintings
My high school portfolio is filled with simple, sometimes sentimental ideas expressed by a young student honing her technical skills. These albums also contain projects from my first semester of college where I embraced the struggle of importance between ideas and techniques.

High School Sketchbook
In this sketchbook, I largely was just learning to draw and shade with extreme accuracy using detailed photographs from books, magazines, etc. Some of the drawings were sketchbook assignments from high school drawing classes taught by my mentor Gary Siska.
